Arte Algarve
The booming art fair ARTE ALGARVE reflects a trend within Portugal’s art market. Had ARTE LISBOA, where only art galleries are allowed to exhibit, a diminished response in the market and less exhibitors, the stands at ARTE ALGARVE were completely sold out. Insiders see the reason for the success in Algarve as the convincing success of a new philosophy which concentrates on the authentic communication between artists and the public. More than 2000 people came to see the fair in Loulé. More than half of the 77 artists from 13 countries sold well. After only two editions of ARTE ALGARVE the fair has conquered a solid place on the international map of art fairs in Europe.
