It is the first time that Portuguese-based artists have been featured in the world famous calendar. Their paintings and photographs have been exhibited widely in galleries in Portugal and other parts of Europe including Arte Algarve’s galleries in Monchique and Loulé.

A spokesman for Arte Algarve said: “We are delighted that two of our artists have been accepted for this important project, and this success underlines the fact that we promote our artists not only through the art fairs we run and in the galleries but in many other ways, and this accounts for our ever growing membership.”
