PRÉMIO ARTE ALGARVE shared by Christine Pâris Montech and Sylvain Bongard

The PRÉMIO ARTE ALGARVE was awarded to two artists with the same numer of votes. Amongst the over 90 artists of ARTE ALGARVE the visitors voted as winners of the PRÉMIO ARTE ALGARVE: Christine Pâris Montech and Sylvain Bongard, both with 10,3 % of all votes.

On position 2: José Freire with 6,7% of all votes
On position 3: Lito Silva with 5% of all votes
On position 4: Meinke Flesseman, with 4,8% of all votes
On position 5: Vera Christians with 4,4% of all votes
On position 6: Jean Brown, with 4% of all votes
On position 7: Miguel Levy Lima, with 3,9% of all votes
On position 8: Xico Fran, with 3,2% of all votes
On position 9: Alfred Preibsch, with 2,6% of all votes
On position 10: Jacek Krenz with 2,5% of all votes

BOOMING ARTIST’S ART FAIRS

For the first time, the art fair ART HAUT-RHIN ALSACE took place from May 15th – 24th in Volgelsheim/Alsace. Never had an art event of such importance attracted so many art lovers to the cosmopolitan and wealthy “three countries corner” of France, Germany and Switzerland. It was the art fair ARTE ALGARVE which the organizers used as a model for their fair, and Rolf Osang, director of ARTE ALGARVE, took part at the official opening and presented works by Roo Burridge and Francisco Rousseau, while Lisbon-artist Xico Fran enjoyed great success with his Jazz paintings. ARTE HAUT-RHIN ALSACE will have a stand at ARTE ALGARVE 2010 with works by Benno Werth and Friedemann Rieker.

The public welcomed the rare opportunity of meeting the artists in person, see their work in a lively environment and even buy the pieces they liked best. In the lovely Alsace region it was proved again that classy artist’s fairs get ever more important. They appear in the agendas of art collectors all over Europe.
